著者簡介

約瑟芬·鐵伊，1897年生於蘇格蘭因弗內斯，就讀於當地的皇傢學院。之後，在伯明翰的安斯地物理訓練學院接受三年訓練，然後開始物理訓練講師的生涯。後來，她辭去教職照顧她住在洛剋耐斯的父親，並開始寫作。

似乎难得遇到一个又想读又很难读下去的故事，可能是我对英国历史知之甚少的缘故？或者太习惯阿加莎的风格了？还是再试试把它读完，否则我难以理解为什么铁伊的这部作品名头如此之响。。。

首先不得不正面直接地对约瑟芬•铁伊这本《时间的女儿》进行由衷地感叹及五体投地的佩服，其逻辑论证的严密性、对历史佐证的旁征博引，大概足以使一位渊博的历史学博士为之汗颜。如果除去那些人物之间的对话，这本书就是一本严密的历史考据著作了。当然，要理解这本书的内容...
