著者简介

Henry James (1843-1916) was born in New York City. In 1865, he began writing reviews and stories for American journals. 1875 found him settled in Paris, then London, where he was very popular in society. He became a British citizen in 1915. He was a highly prolific writer of novels, short stories, and letters.

读了同名篇，心理描写真是丰富多彩啊。氛围的塑造太成功，一读就会进入bly的大房子的诡异里，以至于对女主心理的虚虚实实根本分不清楚。

这个年代的书总让人有种很容易的滑过去的同时有很多很小块很小块的好像没太看懂的fu。= =

The Aspern Papers，这一篇比the turn of the screw好读的多，简直好读太多了，果然亨利詹姆斯的文字是越到后期越晦涩，虽然在我看来，“晦涩”在另一方面反而证明了作者的“精确”，因为他将各种细微的心理的波动，各种细腻的感觉都呈现出来了，这一点在the beast in the jung...
