李智舜，男，1957年生于豫东太康，毕业于南京政治学院，中校军衔。著、编有《毛泽东与十大元帅》、《毛泽东与十大将》、《毛泽东与开国上将》、《毛泽东与开国中将》、《毛泽东与开国少将》、《国防的多维结构》、《按电纽的战争》、《高技术战争谋略》、《中国历代战争概览》、《军事千万个为什么》系列丛书（该书被国家教委指定为全国学校图书馆装备用书）、《邓小平新时期政治工作思想研究》等，与人合著及参加写作各种书籍10本，十集电视系列片《跨世纪的国防之路》主要编剧，发表各种论文70余篇。
作品多次获奖，有的连续两年被评为畅销书，有的获国家图书奖、军队图书奖、优秀论文奖。
