This book introduces the mathematics that supports advanced computer Programming and the analysis of algorithms. Complete answers are provided for all exercises, except research problems, making the book particularly valuable for self-study.

具体数学(Concrete Mathematics)，从字面上它和传统的“抽象数学”对立。序里面说，名字其实是连续(CONtinuous)和离散(disCRETE)的融合。不过名字不重要，内容主要是说在计算机科学领域内遇到的问题和传统数学常常不太合拍，传统数学的方法和理念往往不容易用来解决计算机问题...

恨不相逢这样的老师啊…… 国内的书就是不想让你看懂，就不是给自学的人看的。但是这本书拿起来就爱不释手，即使是英文的，即使有的词不认识，但是几乎感觉不到障碍。

很喜欢这本书的写作风格。作者不仅讲述数学问题和技巧，而且教人解决问题的方法，以一种令人觉得有趣的方式，带有一点感情色彩，而不是简单的灌输。以前看过的国内的数学教材都是干巴巴的，罗列概念、证明定理、给几个例题，我不是对数学本身感兴趣的读者，很难喜欢这种书。 ...
