個人齣身中等、傢庭幸福、取嚮正常、人慫不作死、無長時間逆境無瞬間狂喜（是不是覺得這樣的喜劇演員很少見……），結果就是平淡無起伏。好在性格討喜文筆有趣，也很值得一看。按部就班地中産小學霸--腳燈--喜劇從業者。沒有那麼喜歡寫傳統sketch所以沒有完全復製Fry&Laurie這對。這本書齣版的那年他正好結婚。所以前麵30來章他唧唧歪歪自己如何如何不閤群、機器人般冷漠、情感無能等，韆萬不要自我代入。。不然你會讀到34章時生不如死（你猜我怎麼知道的）。很閤適聽有聲。不過文字也足夠可讀，看、聽都不虧。

跟著 David Mitchell 在倫敦散步，一路對著酒吧餐廳連鎖店指指點點，順便聽他直言不諱地講述自己的人生經驗和感悟——非常有真實感的自傳，任何人應該都會找到共鳴。還有 Mitchell 招牌式的邏輯辯論和咆哮，讀的時候簡直能聽到他的聲音。

Let's face it he's not Franz Kafka but I ADORE how truthful he is. DM writes, as he so often speaks, in long sentences that sometimes require re-reading (the stresses need to be heard to make sense). The chapter on Victoria is solid gold -- for VC (M).

前半部分米球君的自言自語還是標誌性的好笑；中間講到自己事業起步和發展的過程有些無聊；到最後兩章，講到自己對Rob和Victoria的個人感情的時候一下子又拔高瞭，寫對這兩個人感情的部分簡直感人至深，粉紅愛心飛滿天。

DM也不過拿2:2 會後悔沒有早點談戀愛滿足於單身狀態有一些隨便穿就可以在pub見的朋友很容易fell for一個人然後life is overshadowed by it :( 雖然讀的public school 他也不過是個普通人啊（最後他說 now is the heyday for entrepreneurs, but I don’t want to make money from guessing the future. I love being a tv comedian. I’m not moving forward, I’m standing still. T T
