模特是赢者通吃的高风险行业。圈内人通过对商业模特进行割裂和对立来确定自身品味的高低。追逐时尚如同追逐幻影，美正在于它的神秘与残忍。是汲汲于美，还是汲汲于财？这不过是一枚硬币的两面。干货不少，但废话更多。

个人认为，质性研究向来注重3件事：细致、结构、勇气。1是素质，2是灵气，3是底线。这本书更多的像是，分好了类，然后采访、人名、应用的堆砌。虽然Mears是我老师，还是应该多读几遍学做工。

在这种贩卖创意的行当，圈子文化和机构操纵才是重要的价格机制。但是看到大多数模特负债累累，吉赛尔邦辰却在按步计价时还是惊了……珍贵的是作者有机会亲身体会了模特业，却大篇引用着一些经济学理论，读起来有点枯燥……
